PAX 2 Vaporizer
This variant is currently sold out
Are you a fan of the original PAX vaporizer, but some of its issues puts you off? Are you tired of the odd plastic taste the original PAX provides? Look no further, as there is a better vaporizer today. PAX 2 is the newest Ploom product that promises an even better vaping experience. Ploom claims to have improved on some faults found in the original’s design. The question you want to ask now is this: is it worth paying for an upgrade?
One of the first things you will notice when you unbox the vaporizer, is the smaller, lighter, and more streamline appearance it takes. Another noticeable absence from the new model is the removable mouthpiece that many users found to be an issue in the first iteration of the original PAX herbal vaporizer. What replaces it, is a removable silicone top with a tiny slit that acts as the vaporizer pen’s mouthpiece. There is also an on/off switch. Fans of the original mouthpiece shouldn’t fret that the retractable mouthpiece is lost, however, as it comes as an optional attachment in thePAX 2 box.
A Handier Vaporizer
The PAX 2 delivers on its selling point: a better, stealthier device for a portable vaping experience. The device fits into your hand perfectly and won’t take up much space in your pocket or bag. Its inconspicuous design will keep people’s attention away from it. Its small size makes it ideal for a quick session anywhere in the world. You can even have a quick vaping session at the top of Mount Rushmore as long as you have your PAX 2 at the ready.
A Better Hit
The taste and quality of the vapor produced by the PAX 2 is much better compared to its predecessor. Like the original PAX, the quality depreciates, but the overall taste is much better. The weird synthetic flavor the first PAX generates can’t be tasted at all in the new model. The bowl is also deeper than the original, allowing for more herb to be packed and vaped. There are four available temperature levels, ranging from 360-420 degrees. These levels allow you to customize your vaping experience and get the vapor and taste you’ve been looking for.
The heating time of the PAX 2 is consistent, as long as it has a considerable battery life remaining. It usually only takes just a little more than a minute to prepare the device for an entire full vaping session. Setting the temperature of the heating chamber is also easy. When the pen is on, hold the top to make LED lights display the current temperature level. Press the top to set it to your desired temperature level, and hold it again to get vaping. The PAX 2 also has a new system that will put the pen into standby mode and eventual shut down when not used for a certain period of time. This new system helps owners who frequently forget to turn off their pens to save on battery life.
The PAX 2 has a better battery life and performance compared to the original. The herb vaporizer runs for at least 90 minutes when set to Temperature 2. You can also turn the personal vaporizer on and off for sporadic uses without draining a significant amount of its battery. The PAX 2 is charged using a USB port, meaning you have to be near a computer to recharge it. It may seem that this takes away some of the product’s portability, but there is a good fix to the problem: a good power bank allows you to recharge your vaporizer virtually anywhere.
High Performance, Low Maintenance
One of the best things about the PAX 2 is the fact that it is easy to clean despite all the upgraded features it has. Since the mouthpiece has been replaced, there is no more need to frequently lubricate it. A thorough wipe using a cotton swab damp with isopropyl alcohol usually does the trick. The PAX 2 box also comes with a bottle of isopropyl alcohol and several pipe cleaners, allowing you to stop worrying about cleaning supplies.
Chinks in the Armor
As much as the PAX 2 is a significant upgrade, there are still some issues that may bug some vapers. The PAX 2 does not come with an instruction manual, which can leave some users baffled. The vaporizer is a conductive type, meaning that a considerable amount of draw resistance is required before you can enjoy a sizeable toke. The vaporizer being conductive also means that there will be frequent light cleaning sessions of the vapor path after two or three sessions. There are passages in the oven to allow air through, which means that you may occasionally smell cooked herb. This takes out the stealth factor of the device. The device also charges longer than the original. Getting a fully packed bowl can still become a tricky affair. Finally, adding $80 for the PAX 2 may put off some users from buying it.
Despite several setbacks and a hefty price tag, you can be sure that the PAX 2 is clearly worth the investment. The PAX 2 has greatly improved on all the things that the original PAX was lacking. If you are looking for a handy upgrade to your current vaporizer, the PAX 2 is the way to go.
